The Institute for Legal Informatics (IRI), founded in 1983, is one of the oldest university research centers in Germany devoted to Information Technology (IT) and Intellectual Property (IP) Law.
To mark its 30th anniversary, the Institute will review the historic development of IT Contract Law in the light of its 30 years of research history.
The anniversary discussions will center on changes in technology and the resulting legal changes in accommodating the technological trend. It will also attempt to predict future developments.
The theme of the event will revolve around the perceived shifts from “Hardware to Software”, from “Sales to Rental” and from “Goods to Services”.
The conference will take place in English and involve speakers, who are prominent national and international Researchers and Practitioners.
